A U.S. checking or savings account is required to use Zelle®. Transactions between enrolled consumers typically occur in minutes and generally do not incur transaction fees.

For service and account eligibility requirements, refer to the "Zelle Terms of Service" section of the Bank’s Online Banking Agreement.

Zelle and the Zelle related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.

Account applications are subject to review and approval by East West Bank. At the Bank's sole discretion, product and service availability may be limited based on your geographic location, mobile carrier country, or as otherwise determined by the Bank. Government issued ID requirements will vary by country or region. Applicants may be required to scan a valid and current ID at the time of account application.

Applications submitted using a Republic of India Permanent Account Number are limited to individuals who have been referred by an employer that is an approved Velo for Professionals partner.

To receive select account alerts in WeChat you are required to follow Velo by East West Bank® in the WeChat app, and enroll in WeChat Alerts using the Velo by East West Bank® Mobile App.

The FDIC insures up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category.
